With the guidance of your Instructor, you will learn the ins and outs of how to Optimize your time in these sessions. Learn to turn the equipment on, select the correct Cardio Asset for your session and Mask up. Will have a deeper understanding of what "Oxygen Hunger" is and get familiar with tracking your SP02 (Blood - Oxygen saturation). Intermittent hypoxic training (IHT) is a technique that involves breathing modified air with reduced oxygen levels, or hypoxic air, in short intervals. The goal is to mimic some of the physiological adaptations that occur when people acclimatize to high altitudes, and to improve athletic performance at sea level. IHT sessions alternate between breathing hypoxic air and breathing ambient or hyperoxic air for several minutes each. Research has shown that IHT can result in an improvement in immune function, increased anti-oxidant production, enhanced metabolic function, improved glycemic control as well as better blood flow and breathing.
